Control Effects of Six Insecticides to Spodoptera frugiperda in Anhui Province

This paper aims to screen out effective insecticides with good control effects to Spodoptera frugiperda in Anhui province. [Methods] The indoor toxicity and field efficacy of six insecticides to S. frugiperda were evaluated. [Results] The indoor toxicity and field efficacy of the emamectin benzoate 5% ME were the highest with LC50 value of 0.070 mg/L after 48 h treatment and 91.90 and 92.78% control in field after 7 and 14 days treatment respectively. Followed by the spinetoram 60 g/L SC and cabbage armyworm nuclear polyhedrosis virus 2×109 PIB/mL SC, but the indoor toxicity and field efficacy of other three insecticides to S. frugiperda were all lower, including Bacillus theuringiensis 8000 IU/μL SC, Metarhizium chager CQ-Ma421 8×109 cfu/mL OD and Beauveria bassiana 1×1010 cfu/g OP. [Conclusions] Emamectin benzoate, spinetoram and cabbage armyworm nuclear polyhedrosis virus could be selected for controlling S. frugiperda in Anhui province
