Evaluation of insecticides against fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) infesting maize
A field experiment was carried out during kharif, 2019 at different experimental farms (Anand, Sansoli and Godhra) of Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat to evaluate the efficacy of different insecticides against fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) infesting maize. Spinetoram 11.7 SC, 0.0117 %, emamectin benzoate 5 SG, 0.0025 %, chlorantraniliprole 18.5 EC, 0.006 % and thiodicarb 75 WP, 0.11 % were found more effective in checking the larval population, plant and cob damage in maize which also reflected on grain and fodder yield as well.
