Technical Workshop Series on Biocontrol for FAW

Following on from the successful ASEAN Action Plan introductory series to biocontrol, the ASEAN Action Plan is launching a new series of workshops for those interested in undertaking biocontrol projects in the region. The ASEAN Action plan are partnering with Grow Asia, CABI, IPM Innovation Lab, Biorationale, the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science (CAAS) to deliver the series. The sessions will focus on providing practical information and advice for practitioners on using biocontrol strategies as part of an integrated pest management (IPM) to manage FAW.

The first session will be led by Dr Marc Kenis (CABI) who will be presenting on ‘Field collection and identification of FAW parasitoids and predators‘ on 17 December 2020 | 4:00 PM SGT (GMT+8). Registration for this event is open: Register Here

If you have any questions for Dr Kenis, please add a comment below this post and they will be passed along in time for the event.

Further details about the series, including the subjects and registration links for sessions in 2021, can be found here – https://www.growasia.org/fall-armyworm-control
